Whilst the Barossa Valley is known world wide for its award winning wines and vineyards, not many people know that it also has a rich tradition of orchards. Our product is hand made with 100% South Australian fruit and almonds, blended with certified organic oats that are milled locally - our process keeps to tradition.
My name is Lee. My husband John and I live in the picture perfect little town in the Barossa Valley known as Angaston. On Saturdays you will find us at the Barossa Farmers Market, so if you are visiting come and say hello.
A little about Lee
After I took a redundancy from the IT industry I was able to indulge in my lifelong passion for food.I started making and selling fresh pasta and I became a member of the Barossa Farmers Market. After a very successful six months selling my produce the position of overall Market Manager became available - I applied and was the manager of this wonderful market for three and a half years!
Our Farmers Market is one of the largest in the area and all the produce is grown by the stallholders often picked or cut on the morning of the market. It is held every Saturday come rain hail or forty degree heat in a classically designed one hundred year old Heritage listed wine shed. Whilst the Barossa Valley is well known for its award winning wine it is a little known fact that the area also has a strong background in growing apples, peaches and apricots.
Our area also has a reputation for broad acre farming, and at Tarlee some 30kms away is ‘Four Leaf Milling’ which has an enviable reputation for growing and milling organic grains.
Because my product is hand made I am able to make to order so if you don't want sultanas just let me know!
